Bell Re: Connect Return-to-Office Employee Experience | Creekbank, Mississauga

Bringing Teams Back Together

Bell Re: Connect 2022 marked Bell’s return-to-office initiative following an extended period of remote work. Hosted at their Creekbank location in Mississauga, the event brought together multiple departments for a full-day employee experience designed to rebuild connection, reintroduce in-person culture and celebrate employees returning to the workplace.

The activation combined a grand opening food market, on-site prizes and experiential touchpoints, including an interactive photo booth designed to support engagement throughout the event.

Why Bell Created This Experience

The goal of RE: CONNECT 2022 was to do more than welcome employees back into the office. Bell aimed to:

  • Rebuild company culture after remote work
  • Strengthen cross-department connection
  • Increase morale and employee engagement
  • Create a positive, shared return-to-office experience
  • Recognize and celebrate employees

The event was designed around interaction, movement, and informal moments of connection between colleagues who had spent extended periods of time apart.

The Photo Booth Experience

The Influencer Booth was integrated into the event as a central engagement touchpoint, positioned in front of a custom greenery backdrop featuring RE: CONNECT branding.

The booth included:

  • On-site attendant support
  • Instant print delivery
  • Digital sharing functionality
  • A custom photo template designed to match event branding

Running from 10am–2pm, the booth remained active throughout the entire duration of the event, with continuous participation from employees across departments.

Its placement was central within the event layout and encouraged organic participation as attendees moved between the food market, activations and networking spaces.

Employee Interaction

The booth quickly became a natural gathering point within the event environment. Employees used the experience throughout the day, often returning multiple times with different colleagues and teams.

It created a low-pressure environment for interaction, allowing employees from different departments to reconnect in a casual and social setting. The combination of instant prints and digital sharing encouraged both immediate engagement and take-home keepsakes.

Rather than operating as a standalone activation, the booth became embedded in the flow of the event, consistently drawing groups in as they reconnected throughout the day.

Why the Photo Booth Was Included

As Bell focused on rebuilding workplace culture post-remote work, the event needed more than structured programming, it needed shared moments that felt natural and unforced.

The photo booth supported this by:

  • Encouraging spontaneous interaction between employees
  • Creating shared experiences across departments
  • Providing tangible and digital memories from the day
  • Reinforcing the celebratory tone of the return-to-office initiative

It acted as a simple but effective tool for turning individual attendance into collective experience.

What We Saw On The Day of The Event

Throughout the four-hour activation, the booth maintained consistent engagement, with employees participating continuously from start to finish.

The combination of custom branding, instant prints, and digital sharing transformed the experience into a lasting memory of Bell’s RE: CONNECT initiative.

By creating a space where employees could reconnect naturally, the booth contributed to a broader goal of rebuilding workplace culture through shared, positive experiences.

What This Says About Modern Workplace Events

Modern internal corporate events are no longer just about attendance, they are about connection.

Experiential touchpoints like photo booths play a key role in bridging structured programming with informal human interaction and turning return-to-office moments like Bell’s into meaningful cultural resets.

In this case, the booth didn’t just capture the event, it helped shape how employees experienced it.
