Now, maybe you’re still in the dreaming and scheming phase or maybe you’ve even locked in a photo booth for your wedding day. But I am guessing that you’re here because it’s time to figure out the best location to setup a photobooth on your wedding day.
I live by the saying “if it’s out of sight it’s out of mind”
Meaning, that you want to make sure that your photo booth in a high traffic area where guests will easily see it, can jump into photos and it requires minimal effort on their part to do so.
Here are the top locations for where I recommend setting up a photobooth at your wedding.
Beside the Bar
The number one spot I recommend to all of the couples that I work with is beside the bar. Your guests will be going to the bar all night long (unless it’s not an open bar, oops I said it) which means they will also be walking past the photo booth all night long. This way, guests can grab a drink and then head over to the photo booth or while they’re waiting in line they can hop in photos with other guests. Again, the easier it is for them to take a photo, the more engagement you will see with the photo booth.
Beside the Dance Floor
Another spot I recommend considering is near the d~floor. Your guests will likely be taking breaks from dancing throughout the night and a photo booth is a perfect way to keep the energy high and everyone entertained.
Right Outside of the Main Reception Space
If neither of these spots work with your floor plan, that’s totally okay! I would still recommend trying to keep the photo booth inside the main reception space if possible. If there isn’t enough room to make this happen, I recommend setting up right outside the reception space.
When considering where to set up your photo booth be sure to keep in mind the amount of space needed to set up and tear down. You want to avoid delaying your set up process and overcrowding the area. If you’re unsure about the space needed, ask your photo booth company for their recommendations or check out our blog post 3 tips for a seamless set up and tear down on your wedding day.
Now that you know the best location to setup a photobooth on your wedding day, you’re well on your way to seeing a ton of engagement with the booth (and more pics, yay!).
